| UK 7" JUKEBOX PROMOS |
on these vinyls the center has been punched out so they could fit on jukebox spindles. they were distributed in plain die cut black paper sleeves, and may have accompanying custom-printed labels for the jukebox index. the etched labels (overpainted in silver on retail singles), have been left unpainted, with the exception of "in bloom" and maybe "all apologies". some other singles have appeared with painted or paper labels and a large hole, but they are regular retail vinyls where the hole has been hand-made by the owners with tools like the "record dinker" listed on this page. factory made (punched out) holes are perfecty regular, the edge on the "a" side (where the punch entered) is smooth and slightly rounded, the edge on side b is sharp and slightly protruding:  hand-made holes are irregular and with rough edges:  |
